Attire Barcodes/Uniform Labels
If you need barcode labels for your new uniforms, formal attire, or costumes, or if you need to replace worn or missing labels, you will need to order them outside of CutTime as we do not provide this as a service.
Various costume/uniform companies offer this as a service, so check with your supplier to see if they offer uniform barcode labels as part of your order.
You can also opt to utilize various label printing resources to print these yourself on sew in/iron on type labels once you have downloaded the appropriate CutTime Inventory Library Extract.
Example: Printing on Avery Labels
One option we could suggest would be go to the Avery Labels website and use their barcode generator service.
1) Download your Attire Library Extract from your CutTime account.
2) Purchase the labels that you will be using for your costumes/uniforms that can be used in a traditional printer.
Tip: Look for Waterproof or Tear-proof type labels that can be either sewn in or ironed onto your inventory items.
3) Go to their barcode generator service page and click "get started" button.

4) Select the Template number depending on the size of your label sheet (for ex. if you have a 30/sheet, size 1" x2 5/8" Address Labels Easy Peel, select that one).

5) Choose the basic design (or whatever is your preference).

6) Click the "Import Design" button" on the left side panel, then "Start Import/Merge".

7) Upload your inventory extract file.
8) Click "Next" then choose which fields of data need to be on this label - NOTE: Barcodes will be added last, so you don't need to include it on this step.
Suggestions for adding to your labels would be the name of your program/school, Item Number, and item Type.

9) Click "finish", and make sure the right side panel stays on "Edit All".

10) Edit the design as needed for font, sizing, and fields if some need to be removed to fit on the label.

11) Click on the "QR Codes and Barcodes" on the left side panel then "Add Qr/Barcode".

12) Select "Spreadsheet" and click "next".

13) DESELECT all of the columns that aren't the Barcode Column and click "next".

14) Drag and drop the barcode number field into the Alphanumeric field and click "Finish".

15) From there you can edit the spacing for where the barcode lands on the label. You can also use that right side panel to switch from editing all to an individual label if you need to make adjustments to one or two.
16) Add your Label Printing paper to your printer and print your labels!
Inventory Barcodes
PLEASE NOTE: For your Instruments Library, Case Tags are generated by the system instead of barcodes. You can follow our help document here for more info on Bulk Printing Case Tags.
If you need barcode labels for your new sheet music, scripts, or other equipment inventory, or if you need to replace worn or missing labels, you will need to order them outside of CutTime as we do not provide this as a service.
You can also opt to utilize various label printing resources to print these yourself once you have downloaded the appropriate CutTime Inventory Library Extract. See more information here on customizing barcodes on Avery Labels as an example.
Entering New Barcode Numbers into Your CutTime Account
Once you have received your new barcode labels, you will need to add them to CutTime based on the following:
- If the items are already in CutTime without the barcode numbers, you will need to manually enter the barcode number for each item.
- If the items are not in CutTime you can import the items and the barcode numbers at one time using the import spreadsheet.
