Ordering Attire and Inventory Barcode Labels


If you need barcode labels for your new uniforms, formal attire, or costumes, or if you need to replace worn or missing labels, our new partnership with Costume & Uniform Inventory Resources can help! They offer a variety of sewn-in, iron-on, and adhesive options that can be customized to include your program name, logo, and barcoding data. 

Margaret Messick is the Founder and Head Seamstress for Costume & Uniform Inventory Resources, a family run organization operating for nearly fifteen years. She has grown her clientele to service all fifty U.S. states as well as 30 international countries, serving K12, college/university, and community-based performing arts programs. Margaret and her team have worked with hundreds of theater, dance, and music education programs to produce custom barcode labels and tags.

Costume & Uniform Inventory Resources will be handling all of your attire and inventory label needs as of July 1st, 2024. We have decided to switch to a third party because of their dedicated capacity for labels and tags. Costume & Uniform Inventory Resources offers a wide range of options to meet all of your label needs, improving your turnaround and overall service experience.

Order Process

When ordering labels through Costume & Uniform Inventory Resources you will do the following:

  1. Reach out directly to Margaret via phone call or email message to speak with her regarding the labels you would like to order.

  1. Once you have clarified your label order with Margaret, she will advise you on how to send your label order information to her. You will provide a file that includes the details to be printed on each label, such as the school/organization/program name, logo, barcode number, and inventory or attire number.
  2. After submitting your label file to Costume & Uniform Inventory Resources, Margaret will create the order and send a sample screen print of the tag/label for your approval.
  3. Once you approve the design and payment is received, orders are printed within 2 to 4 days and shipped via Priority Mail. Orders over $150.00 qualify for free shipping.

Pricing Information

Prices range from $0.14 (Tiny Iron-on Tag) to $0.30 (1.5" x 1" Iron-on) or more for large labels. The prices depend on the type of tag/label, the size and the quantity. Discounts may be applied for quantities over 500 tags.

Entering New Barcode Numbers into Your CutTime Account

Once you have received your new barcode labels, you will need to add them to CutTime based on the following: 

    • If the items are already in CutTime without the barcode numbers, you will need to manually enter the barcode number for each item. 
    • If the items are not in CutTime you can import the items and the barcode numbers at one time using the import spreadsheet.
